Tasmanian Special Forces Group: Welcome to Hell by C.R. Daems Genre: SciFi Military Action

Jolie was three when she found she was ugly and deformed.
She was five when she found she was a sub-human and an outcast.
She was seven when five boys and two girls dragged her out of the
orphanage and beat her unconscious, leaving her lying bleeding and
broken in the street.
She was content to lie there and die, tired of being hated and abused.
But a frail old man with wispy white hair and a long beard wasn’t
content to let her die. He not only saved her, but he adopted her and
passed on his unique martial art to her.
She was twenty when she headed to Delphi, the center of the United
Systems of Perileos (USP) and the planet of her birth-father to find
her place in his society.
Based on her unique upbringing, she decides to join the USP military,
requesting to be assigned to the Tasmanians SFG, an elite all male
unit. The military brass is reluctant to deny her request and admit
their enlistment contract permits bait-and-switch assignments.
Instead, they agree to let her enter the school, thinking she
couldn’t possibly succeed–a Chihuahua competing against
Rottweilers–and plan to make an example of her when she fails.
Although Jolie is small, she is not what she appears. But can her adopted
father’s art enable her to survive the treachery of the military
brass, the grueling of the school, the prejudices of the instructors,
and the testosterone of an all-male class?
And if she succeeds, can she thrive in the high-octane and all male
environment of the Tasmanians?

The Carousel
The Wild Geese Book 7
by Cynthia Owens
Genre: Historical Romance
Like the Wild Geese of Old Ireland, five boys grew to manhood despite
hunger, war, and the mean
streets of New York
The War had left him blind to beauty…
Kieran Donnelly is a gifted artist who has sworn never to paint again. He
saw and did too many things during the war to extinguish the ugliness
that lies in his heart. But a chance to work with some of the most
magnificent paintings brings him close to the world he still
loves…and an extraordinary woman who sees his true heart.
Darkness couldn’t extinguish the light in her heart.
Blind from the age of four, Emily Lawrence yearns to experience the outside
world. When she hires Kieran Donnelly to catalogue her father’s
paintings, he offers her a glimpse at life outside her exquisite
home…and a chance for a future.
Can Kieran and Emily emerge from the darkness to find happiness and love?

I believe I was destined to be interested in history. One of my distant
ancestors, Thomas Aubert, reportedly sailed up the St. Lawrence River
to discover Canada some 26 years before Jacques Cartier’s 1534
voyage. Another relative was a 17thCentury “King’s Girl,”
one of a group of young unmarried girls sent to New France (now the
province of Quebec) as brides for the habitants (settlers) there. My
passion for reading made me long to write books like the ones I
enjoyed, and I tried penning sequels to my favorite Nancy Drew
mysteries. Later, fancying myself a female version of Andrew Lloyd
Weber, I drafted a musical set in Paris during WWII.
A former journalist and lifelong Celtophile, I enjoyed a previous
career as a reporter/editor for a small chain of community newspapers
before returning to my first love, romantic fiction. My stories
usually include an Irish setting, hero or heroine, and sometimes all
three!
I am a member of the Romance Writers of America, Hearts Through History
Romance Writers, and Celtic Hearts Romance Writers. A lifelong
resident of Montreal, Canada, I still live there with my own Celtic
hero and our two teenaged children.

Debra-Ann Kummoung
I fell in love with Pride & Prejudice when I read it in high school. Something about that time – the courtly manners of society, the clothing, and so many other things. Don’t get me a wrong, I’m a modern girl and wouldn’t last a day without my modern conveniences, but I can still fantasize about that time period.
My husband is my inspiration for Mr. Darcy & Colonel Fitzwilliam (when the good colonel appears in one of my books). My husband has the manners of Darcy but has been a military man like the colonel –
so I got both in one man.

Born and rased with finnish sisu, and beaten in shape with sauna birch leaf brooms, Sophie writes Fantasy and Horror. No genre will be safe from her vigilant and witty writing style though. Deborah E. Pearson found her love of Jane
Austen’s work when she was 15 by watching the 1995 adaptation of Pride and Prejudice by Andrew Davies, Over the following years she not only read Miss Austen’s books multiple times but also read

book series she read was Dark Shadows, and it sparked her interest in all things paranormal, with a spicy touch of romance mixed in for
good measure. She also started writing poetry in grade school and continues to do so today.
Being an avid reader, the consummate daydreamer and an incurable romantic

Angie Rossi is a first grade teacher with a large Italian family that is
about to celebrate her grandparents’ fiftieth anniversary at a
resort in the snowy Catskill Mountains of New York. She’s wrangled
her neighbor into playing her date for the weekend. Only, when she
opens the door she finds Joe Vanetti, a nemesis from her childhood,
ready to be her escort.
Joe Vanetti is a cop intent on tracking down a jewel thief from his past.
He’s gotten word that his suspect will be at the hotel where
Angie’s grandparents are holding their celebration and where a
famous violinist with an equally famous emerald necklace is set to
perform. Joe persuades Angie to let him be her date. This Christmas
will be one neither will forget, assuming they live to see the day.

A Parliament of Crows by Alan M. Clark Genre: Southern Gothic Crime, Horror

In A Parliament of Crows, the three Mortlow sisters are prominent
American educators of the nineteenth century, considered authorities
in teaching social graces to young women. They also pursue a career
of fraud and murder. Their loyalty to one another and their need to
keep their secrets is a bond that tightens with each crime, forcing
them closer together and isolating them from the outside world. Their
ever tightening triangle suffers from madness, religious zealotry and
a sense of duty warped by trauma they experienced as teenagers in
Georgia during Sherman’s March to the Sea. As their crimes come back
to haunt them and a long history of resentments toward each other
boils to the surface, their bond of loyalty begins to fray. Will duty
to family hold or will they turn on each other like ravening crows?

Alan M. Clark grew up in Tennessee in a house full of bones and old
medical books. As a writer and illustrator, he is the author of
sixteen published books, including 11 novels, a lavishly illustrated
novella, four collections of fiction, and a nonfiction full-color
book of his artwork. His illustrations have appeared in books of
fiction, non-fiction, textbooks, young adult fiction and children’s
books. Awards for his work include the World Fantasy Award and four
Chesley Awards. Mr. Clark’s company, IFD Publishing, has released 42
titles of various editions, including traditional books, both
paperback and hardcover, audio books, and ebooks by such authors as
F. Paul Wilson, Elizabeth Engstrom, and Jeremy Robert Johnson.
