Where Ebon Sounds Like Ivory by A. Nicky Hjort

Norse legend has it that the arms of the Yggdrasil tree—a sacred
instrument of Odin—are ever-reaching, and its survival is necessary for
life itself to continue.

During Winter’s Solstice, when the search for her mortal mother begins, Za will have to cross over the Ebon Branch of the Dead—a feat that has supposedly never been survived intact. But if she does make it across and back home, she just might discover why she and the other three Norn Sisters of Fate came to be.

A fairytale at heart, this is the second chapter in the epic saga of the youngest and most fickle of the four Norn Sisters. The same feisty immortal creature who must discover her true origins to understand her inherent inner darkness. Only this way can she learn the meaning of unconditional sacrifice in the name of impenetrable love…when, as her
destiny would have it, all the branches of such a powerful tree tremble treacherously in her tiny little hands.

A veritable unraveling of Snow White, the narrative of Where Ebon Sounds Like Ivory journeys through the most horrible of realms where shocking truths emerge. Here where death mimics life, obsession masquerades as devotion, and the most unexpected endings become the most surprising beginnings of a classic tale. One…you thought you knew so well.

Welcome to a place where the darkest of melodies births a miraculous tune of  surrenderance. Here Where Ebon Sounds Like Ivory and Christmas, as we know it, begins.

The Smuggler’s Escape by Barbara Monajem

The Smuggler’s Escape
by Barbara Monajem
Genre: Historical Romance, Adventure
After escaping the guillotine, Noelle de Vallon takes refuge with her aunt
in England. Determined to make her own way, she joins the local
smugglers, but when their plans are uncovered, Richard, Lord Boltwood
steps out of the shadows to save her. Too bad he’s the last man on
earth she ever wanted to see again.
Years ago, Richard Boltwood’s plan to marry Noelle was foiled when his
ruthless father shipped him to the Continent to work in espionage.
But with the old man at death’s door, Richard returns to England
with one final mission: to catch a spy. And Noelle is the prime
suspect.
Noelle needs Richard’s help, but how can she ever trust the man who
abandoned her? And how can Richard catch the real culprit while
protecting the woman who stole his heart and won’t forgive him for
breaking hers?
Winner of the Holt Medallion, Maggie, Daphne du Maurier, Reviewer’s Choice
and Epic awards, Barbara Monajem wrote her first story at eight years
old about apple tree gnomes. She published a middle-grade fantasy
when her children were young, then moved on to paranormal mysteries
and Regency romances with intrepid heroines and long-suffering heroes
(or vice versa). Regency mysteries are next on the agenda.
Barbara loves to cook, especially soups. She used to have two items on her
bucket list: to make asparagus pudding (because it was too weird to
resist) and to succeed at knitting socks. She managed the first (it
was dreadful) but doubts she’ll ever accomplish the second. This is
not a bid for immortality but merely the dismal truth.
She lives near Atlanta, Georgia with an ever-shifting population
of relatives, friends, and feline strays.

Publisher’s Note:
This book contains explicit sexual content involving machinery,
anal play, spanking, dubious consent, bondage, minor BDSM themes,
strong language, and graphic violence.
BDSM/AP lifestyler Breanna Hayse strives to give her readers truth and
reality of the BDSM/Age-Play/Total Power and Erotic Exchange lifestyle.
Who am I?
I’m a native Californian gone ‘wild’, and had the opportunity to travel
the globe and discover the world through the eyes of both a Marine
Intelligence specialist and a BDSM lifestyler. I left the service to
go into hospice nursing and grief counseling, eventually working as a
marriage and family therapist for those involved in alternative
lifestyle development. This experience has allowed me to gain unique
inspiration for my books and offer realistic plots and relatable
characters.
In 2004, my husband, John, and I joined forces to work with both
submissives and dominants- teaching, training, listening and loving.
Our goal was to take the mystery and fear out of the lifestyle and
mentor people in safe, consensual and healthy relationships.
My first book, The Game Plan, was published in 2012 and opened the door
to the now-booming world of Age-Play literature. Since that time,
I’ve devoted my ‘spare’ time to writing, researching, community
involvement, and private and group pro bono counseling in deviant
behavior, alternative lifestyle, and addiction recovery.
I was formally ‘dungeon trained’ as a Domme before discovering my
submissive side when I joined the service. My scenarios are pulled
primarily from either personal experience or observation, including
spending time in BDSM clubs as the safety/medical officer. My
multi-faceted background allows me to glean from many avenues and
give a unique and intelligent literary experience through elements of
fantasy and fiction. I also discuss the questions and psychology of
the lifestyle in a manner that is fun and informative, and based on
‘the real deal.’
I live with my husband, musician, and fellow-author, John Hayse, and
two border collies in southern California. We practice a 24/7 D&S
relationship with speckles of AP (and many trips to Build-A-Bear),
and happily spend every moment together that we can. My hobbies
include my puppies, hiding my vanilla salt-water taffy where John
can’t find it, exotic art, collecting inspirational trinkets, and
developing my own paddle line. You can also see me as a featured
author/instructor in professional conference settings and as a

MATTHEW CONNOR ADVENTURE SERIES

My Inspiration for Writing Action-Adventure Novels

More than three years ago, I set out to write my first action-adventure novel, City of Gold. NOW 1As I had been solely a mystery author at that time, it proved to be an interesting, yet rewarding, challenge. After all, whodunits are grounded in reality and governed by police procedure and science, and adventures, especially ones with historical and mythological elements, are not an everyday reality for most people. Besides, if something is legend and we don’t know anything real about it, it requires a different kind of creative process. So when it came to writing about the Incas’ lost City of Gold, I felt like in order to write about it, I had to find it and see it in person! I was ready to board a plane to South America and find the place myself!

But fueled by a compulsion and inspiration, I trudged outside my comfort zone. I wanted to give my mystery readers an action-adventure story they’d love. To achieve this, though, I had to ensure that the book started out strong, pulling the reader right into the action and jumping into the conflict, rather than taking the time to set up the historical background of the adventure itself. Instead, the story needed to be fun and fast-paced from the beginning, not weighed down with too much backstory or smacking of a textbook; any facts or recorded myths were to be sprinkled in as needed. Really, I wanted to create something more in the vein of a twenty-first-century Indiana Jones—and according to reviewers, I have succeeded in that. It was with these things in mind that City of Gold—and the Matthew Connor Adventure series—was born.

NOW 2It is my pleasure to announce that there is now a second book available in the series! Archaeologist and adventurer Matthew Connor and his friends are driven by the desire to uncover legends the world has all but forgotten, and this time, they are on the hunt for the mythical Emerald Tablets to save the world in The Secret of the Lost Pharaoh. Now that right there spells adventure!

If treasure hunting or the thought of traveling the globe to explore remote regions excites you, this is the series for you. You don’t even have to deal with flight delays, packing, or obtaining a passport to share in the action. So what are you waiting for? Strap yourself in for an adventure today!

City of Gold
Matthew Connor Adventure Series, Book 1
by Carolyn Arnold
Genre: Action, Adventure
Finding the Incas’ lost City of Gold would be the discovery of a lifetime.
But failing could mean her death…
Archaeologist Matthew Connor and his friends Cal and Robyn are finally home after a
dangerous retrieval expedition in India. While they succeeded in
obtaining the priceless Pandu artifact they sought, it almost cost
them their lives. Still, Matthew is ready for the next adventure. Yet
when new intel surfaces indicating the possible location of the
legendary City of Gold, Matthew is hesitant to embark on the quest.
Not only is the evidence questionable but it means looking for the lost
city of Paititi far away from where other explorers have concentrated
their efforts. As appealing as making the discovery would be, it’s
just too risky. But when Cal’s girlfriend, Sophie, is abducted by
Matthew’s old nemesis who is dead-set on acquiring the Pandu
statue, Matthew may be forced into action. Saving Sophie’s life
means either breaking into the Royal Ontario Museum to steal the
relic or offering up something no one in his or her right mind would
refuse—the City of Gold.
Now Matthew and his two closest friends have to find a city and a
treasure that have been lost for centuries. And they only have seven
days to do it. As they race against the clock, they quickly discover
that the streets they seek aren’t actually paved with gold, but
with blood.
What to expect from the Matthew Connor Adventure series:
Action-adventure books for the mystery lover.
Does treasure hunting
excite you? What about the thought of traveling the globe and
exploring remote regions to uncover legends that the world has all
but forgotten? If so, strap yourself in for an adventure with
modern-day archaeologist Matthew Connor and his two closest friends.
Indiana Jones meets the twenty-first century.
This is the perfect book series for fans of Indiana Jones, Lara
Croft

The Secret of the Lost Pharaoh
Matthew Connor Adventure Series, Book 2
In Egypt’s Western Desert lies the tomb of an unnamed pharaoh that
hides a secret so powerful, it could destroy the world as we know it.

Archaeologist and adventurer Matthew Connor has made a career of finding legends
the world has all but forgotten. Though there’s one in particular that has fascinated
him for years—the Emerald Tablets. Myth says that they possess the
knowledge of the universe, allowing humankind to traverse Heaven and
Earth, and have the power to bestow wealth and wisdom upon whoever
possesses them. But if they fall into evil hands, it could cause a
global disaster.
So when a former colleague stumbles across
an ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic map that promises to lead to a pharaoh’s tomb
and the Emerald Tablets, there’s no way he’s turning down herinvitation to join the dig.
He only has one stipulation: his best friends Robyn Garcia and Cal Myers come with him.

The road ahead isn’t going to be an easy one, and their shared dream of
recovering the Emerald Tablets is being crushed at every turn. And
just when they think it’s all over, they learn there are a few
clues they have overlooked. But they’re no longer the only ones
searching for the Tablets. Now, the fate of the world hangs in the
balance, and soon they’ll find out that when it comes to hunting
legends, they can’t trust anyone.

Birth of the Bacchae Immortal Relics Book 1 by Stephanie Mirro Genre: Urban Fantasy

“Vampires, Immortals, Bacchae—they’re all the same.
The name may change, but their appetites never do.”
Ever since archaeology student Serafina Finch found an ancient Roman
amulet on a dig in Italy, she’s been having dreams. Strange dreams
that leave her with an eerie sense of foreboding. But between a busy
college schedule and a boyfriend she’s hoping to marry, she doesn’t
have time for strange.
Then a mysterious cult takes an obsessive interest in the artifact.
Serafina finds her life in chaos as she’s thrown into the
supernatural world, where Immortals and witches alike claim ownership
of the amulet.
Her amulet.
As her connection to the amulet grows, she discovers a dark secret about
her past. Serafina realizes she must protect the powerful relic at
all costs–even if it means losing one of the people she loves most.
Invisible. Powerful. Immortal. We are Bacchae.”

BIRTH OF THE BACCHAE is a New Adult Urban Fantasy novel exploring the
origins of vampire lore in a modern setting. Where do the stories
come from? How were vampires created? Do they still exist today?
Stephanie Mirro’s lifelong love of ancient mythology led to majoring in the
Classics in college, which wasn’t quite as much fun as writing her
own mythology stories as she did as a child. But that education,
combined with an overactive imagination and being an avid fantasy
reader, resulted in a writing career.
Starting her days with coffee and ending them with wine means Stephanie can
usually be found juggling household chores, keeping the kids alive,
and trying to write, edit, publish, and market the stories that haunt
her dreams.
Born and raised in Southern Arizona, Stephanie now resides in Northern
Virginia with her husband, two kids, and two furbabies. This thing
called “seasons” is still magical.
