Kimberly Baer is an author and professional editor who was born and raised in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a town marginally famous for having endured three major floods. She even lived there during one of them. She enjoys power-walking on days when it’s not too hot, too cold, too rainy, too snowy, or too windy. On indoor days, you’re likely to find her hard at work on her next novel or binge-watching old episodes of Survivor, her favorite guilty pleasure. 

 Kim has had her nose in a book practically since birth. Her first story, written at age six, was about a baby chick that hatched out of a little girl’s Easter egg after somehow surviving the hard-boiling process. I was born and raised in the cold and beautiful Minnesota, but I escaped to Illinois for seventeen years to raise my two boys, and now I call Florida home. My husband Andy, who’s always been my hero, has put up with my late night computer typing and endless stacks of papers with my stories on them. We have one furry friend as family: Chip, a sixteen year old ragdoll cat.

About the Author



Giorgos Katsoulas was born on February 16, 1981, in Athens. He is an honours graduate of the screenwriting school at ANT1, but he is self-taught in literature. He has been diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome and has received numerous literary awards. He has written 15 books of all genres, including poetry, plays, novellas, historical novels, and psychological thrillers. His greatest passion is film music, and he is also a collector of soundtracks and films.

Hello! I’m Terrie Lynn Birney.

I am a first-time children’s picture book author who has Cerebral Palsy. When I was born, the doctors said I would be “vegetable” my whole life. To those doctors I say “Ha, take that!” Not only am I pursuing a career in writing children’s books, I graduated from college with an associate degree in computer science. Since I can remember, I have enjoyed writing, especially about my feelings. My dedication to writing has grown in the last year with my newly published first book, with more in the future.
